2001 Suzuki VS800 Intruder Vehicle Description

The 2001 Suzuki VS800 Intruder is powered by an 805cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine managed by BDS36 Mikuni carburetors. As for the power figures, the engine boasted 55 hp with maximum strength at 7,000 rpm and 64 Nm (47 lb-ft) torque at 5,000 rpm.

All the power generated by the engine was redirected to a five-speed manual gearbox controlled by a wet multi-disc clutch and then to the rear wheel via a final shaft drive.

The motorcycle was assembled around a steel frame that housed the suspension system. The system comprised a telescopic fork on the front and two side-mounted shock absorbers on the rear.

For braking power, the motorcycle's 19-inch front wheel was assisted by a single brake disc clamped by a hydraulic caliper, while the 15-inch rear wheel was fitted with a drum braking unit.

In the aesthetic department, the machine was characterized by features like a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a wide, pulled-back handlebar, a round headlight with a chromed housing, a two-piece dual seat, a chromed exhaust system, and wire-spoke wheels.
